Aqidah(creed)

It is a branch of Islamic studies describing the belief of Islam. In this branch,

the student will learn about:

1-Definition of Aqidah

2- Five pillars of Islam:

• The Shahada (Declaration of faith, Trusting and understanding the words of the shahada)
• Prayer
• Obligatory charity (Zakat)
• Fasting (Sawm) during the month of Ramadan
• Pilgrimage (Hajj)

3-Six Articles of belief (Faith) known as Arkan Al-Iman (belief in Allah, Angels, Islamic Holy Books, The prophets, Messengers, Last judgment and Resurrection, and predestination, whether it involves good or bad)

4-Tawhid (Montheism)

Fiqh(Islamic Jurisprudence)

It is an Arabic term meaning (deep understanding).

Students will learn in this branch:

• Definition of Fiqh
• Four schools of Fiqh
• Principles of the Islamic jurisprudence
• Important terms of Fiqh

Islamic History(Seerah of The Prophet Muhammad(PBUH)

 In this branch student will learn:

• Benefits of studying the seerah of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
• Learning about the life of the Prophet as a role model for all Muslims to imitate Him. As umm al-Mu’minin A’isha(wife of the prophet)said:(“His character was the Qur’an”).
• Learning Islamic Role Women (the mothers of the believers, women companions and also men companions during the life of the prophet (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him).

Hadith

Students will learn in this branch:

• Definition of Hadith
• Types of Hadith and its importance
• Narrators and Grading of Narrators of Hadith (sanads of Hadith)
